Test 4
Do you like to study in groups?
I am convinced that I prefer studying in groups. I will present two reasons to substantiate my assertion.
First, you can learn from other students. To be specific, as I am not strong in math, I usually ask my friends to help me.
Secondly, you can develop communications skills. To illustrate, if you study alone, you do not speak to anyone. However, in a study group, you can learn how to interact with other students and exchange you ideas.
For these reasons, I prefer studying in groups.

It is important to remember the past in order to learn from it. Agree or disagree?
I am convinced that it is important to remember the past in order to learn from it. (I will present two reasons to substantiate this assertion.)
First, if you do not remember the past, you would make the same mistakes again.
To be specific, should you burn your hand on the stove, most people remember it and never do it again. If you do not remember the past, chances are you would repeat the same mistakes again.
Second, you can save millions of human lives by learning from the history. To illustrate, (if my memory serves me correct), over 50 million people (including civilians) lost their lives during the WWII. One important lesson learned is never having another war.
For these reasons, I agree that it is important to remember the past in order to learn from it.

Do you like to work on group projects?
I definitely like group projects.
First, it is a good practice for your future career. To be specific, in college, I was on an engineering project to develop a solar car. This experience greatly helped me in my current job, in which I am on a project team to develop a hybrid car.
Secondly, you can learn the importance of team working. To illustrate, if you do a project alone, you never speak to anyone. However, in a group project, you can learn how to interact with other students and learn the importance of team working.
For these reasons, I like group projects.

Where do you prefer to study?
I prefer to study in the university library.
I have two reasons to support my assertion.
First, the library has all reference books. To be specific, as I am writing my thesis for a master degree, I need to be able access all reference books related to my thesis.
Secondly, this library has all facilities to support my thesis writing. To illustrate, this library has individual study booths, where you can study without being interfered by other students. In addition, it has a cafeteria, so that you do not have to go outside to eat.
For these reasons, I prefer to study in the university library.

Which do you prefer to remember the past, keeping a diary or taking photographs?
I prefer to take photos. I will present two examples to substantiate my assertion.
First, a picture is worth a 1000 words. My hobby is gardening. When a flower blooms, I take photos, and keep them in an album. Nothing can describe the beauty of flowers than photos.
Secondly, I can show my photos to others. I went to a Japanese restaurant and took pictures of my favorite dishes. I showed them to my colleges and they clearly understood how sushi and sashimi look like.
For these reasons, I prefer to take photos.

Do you prefer to learn about history by reading books or watching documentaries on TV?
I prefer to watch documentaries. I will present two reasons to corroborate my contention.
First, you can learn faster than reading books. A 30-minute documentary can provide you with a concise summary of an historical event, whereas it takes at least one day to read a book.
Second, visual and sound effects of a documentary gives you stronger impressions. I watched a documentary about Kamikaze suicidal attacks during the WWII. A short video of an airplane plunging into the enemy battleship left me a lasting impression.
For these reasons, I prefer to watch documentaries.
