Second, at school you can lean many things from your friends. For example, you can learn the team work by participating a sport activity with your friends.
2. Some colleges require that students declare a major before they start their freshman year. Other colleges allow students to declare their major up to the end of their freshman year. Which policy do you think is better for freshmen and why?
I prefer to declare a major before entering a university.
First, you get motivated in studying. For example, if you major is in engineering, you would be highly motivated to study math, physics, and other engineering related subjects.
Second, you can possibly graduate sooner. If you do not know your major, you may take some courses that are not applicable to your major and waste your time.
3. Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you place to live in?
I would prefer to live in a big city
First, big cities are more convenient than small towns. For example, in big cities a variety of transportation choices, including buses, subways and taxis, are available. A great variety of shopping choices are also available to big cities, such as department stores and outdoor markets.
Second, in big cities there are more chances to experience cultural events and entertainment. For example, big cities provide a greater variety of events, from newly released movies to cultural festivals.
4. Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer?
I prefer to go out to eat.
First, it can save time. To be specific, the time spent on shopping and cooking can be saved, and I can send the time for other activities.
Second, I can taste a variety of interesting dishes from many countries. For example, I love to eat different kinds of Italian spaghettis with a variety of Italian wines.
For these reasons, I would rather going out to restaurants.

I agree that parents are the best teachers
First, parents know us very well. To be specific, they know how to encourage our good characteristics and discourage our bad behaviors.
Second, parents will teach us everything. For example, I learned how to fix a flat tire from my dad and how to bake apple pies from my mom.
For these reasons, I think parents are the best teachers.
6. Some people prefer to spend their free time outdoors. Other people prefer to spend their leisure time indoors. Would you prefer to be outside or would you prefer to be inside for your leisure activities? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your choice.
I prefer spending my leisure time outdoors.
First, more enjoyable activities are available outdoors. For example, I can go hiking, swim in a beach, play golf, go fishing, you name it.
Second, by spending leisure time outdoors, people can be more active and healthier. For example, physical activity such as going biking with friends, running in the park will help people stay maintain a healthy lifestyle.
For these reasons, I prefer spending my time outdoors.

グーグルの検索機能をUK仕様にしておいて、コロケーションの不安な箇所をコピペ、検索するだけで良かったのですね。後は人気投票の原則に沿ってヒット数が多ければその用法は正しく、少なければ誤りにより近いというわけです。試しに日本語でもやってみましたがうまくいきません。表音文字だからできるワザのようです。
初めてこの方法を試してみたときには、あまりのことに感動してしまいました。まさに信じられない！という表現がぴったりです。
